511 Tactical has tactical in its name for a reason.  Products express grittiness and toughness.  However, this time around the company has added a more everyday-person product to their line.  Enter the 511 Dartpack.  This pack comes in 4 colors (black, grenade, blue and gray).

​Outside Pack

• 420D water-resistant nylon exterior material.
• You can barely see the 511 logo, which takes away more of the “Tactical” look.
• Freedom in the backpack straps, which is easier on the back.
• Adjustable straps for big and small people.
• Connecting strap clips for a more ergonomic feel, if you prefer that.
• Hooks at the top of the straps allow for easy grab-and-go from either side.
• Vented back-pads, which are super comfortable and allows your back to breath.
• Webbing on the straps to attach your water bottle, hand sanitizer, flashlight, etc.
• Top zipper for glasses.
• Side zippers to place your CCW EDC tool (e.g. pistol) inside.   We used it for a place to slide your arm through when utilizing the backpack as body armor (body armor not included).

My Recommendation:

I have been using this pack for almost a year now and it has held up extremely well.  The zippers remain intact, the MOLLE arrangement is still structurally sound, and there are no noticeable frays on the outside of the pack. 
Pennsylvania weather can be unforgiving.  The outdoors are brutal at times in the winter.  I have been out in the snow and rain multiple times in subzero temperatures and the pack shows no signs of wear.  I have travelled on a plane and thrown it in 50 plus car excursions with no problems. 
When I Concealed Carry with the DartPack, it stays right where I put it, with easy 1-zip access.  If you are looking for an everyday carry pack with self-defense options and a “non-tactical” look, then the 511 Dart Pack is our choice.  ​
