  • Outdoor range.
  • 15 feet from target.
  • Estimated 0 degrees from target.
  • Penetration determined by observation and feel.
  • 9mm ball ammo, 9mm hollow point ammo, 40 caliber hollow point ammo, 12G shotgun game buckshot ammo.

Cons:
  • It did not stop everything.  We tried a 12 Gauge shotgun with rifle slugs and it went right through.
  • Once out of the black cover, it is not easy to get it back in; however, there should be no need to take it out once purchased

Pros:
  • It is lightweight.
  • It stopped ALL pistol rounds rounds from 15 feet away
  • It is very easy to set inside a backpack.  It fits perfectly
  • It is not cumbersome, so it makes it very easy to get to other supplies and gear.
  • If used with a backpack like the 511 Dartpack, then it has a slot it goes right into (like it was designed for it).
  • It fits in the backpack without noticing there is backpack armor in there.  Therefore, you don’t necessarily have to have that conversation with your child that you need to have armor for protection.

Price:
  • $149 + shipping and handling
  • Ships the same day of purchase.
  • The price, in our opinion, is extremely affordable for the everyday child to carry in their backpack.  People pay twice this amount for entertainment.  There is simply no comparison.

Our Recommendation:
Hands down, I would purchase this product for my child.  The features of lightweight and size is just what I would look for if adding backpack body armor; not to mention, this backpack armor stopped all pistol rounds from straight on and angle-to-target.  Let’s face it, active shooters are a real threat.
